4 Favourite Bodyweight Exercises

 

No weights? No problem.

One of the best things about calisthenics and bodyweight training, is that you take your weights with you, wherever you go. Becoming knowledgable on how to exercise with just your own bodyweight, empowers you far beyond the ability to train anywhere. Whether we like it or not (and if not, we have the ability to change this!) we are stuck with this one body, for our entire life.

When we fully grasp this idea, that unlike our phones or computers, we can’t just ‘trade in’ our bodies for the next model, we really begin to value maximizing our potential. It is my belief that, we as humans, should move with purpose. Moving with purpose means we have functional bodyweight strength to help us in our everyday lives, and the strength to continue doing the things we enjoy most, for as long as possible (learn more on this here). We need to learn to become comfortable and confident with the only body we will ever have.

So whether it’s that you prefer to exercise outdoors, couldn’t make it to the gym, or that you want to maintain your strength on a business trip, calisthenics training has you covered. Below are just a few of my favourite exercises, that you can do just about where. Enjoy!
